NDVS/SB exists to enhance lives—
the lives of children and adults who experience visual impairment and the challenges that come along with those conditions. It is our mission to empower children and adults in achieving their goals regardless of what is happening in the world. During the Covid-19 pandemic and its aftermath, it has been and is our obligation to adapt and overcome any challenges we face in delivering services in order to fulfill our mission.
It has been a time of creativity, teamwork, and exciting growth that will continue. New ways of reaching students through virtual means added another viable way to provide encouragement and real instruction in the expanded core curriculum. Our staff and teachers learned new ways to be productive that will carry on into the future and be the catalyst for more exciting changes.
If there is a silver lining with the pandemic, it may be demonstrated through not only great new ways of adaptation but also the knowledge that NDVS/SB is resilient and can overcome anything—just like we know our students and learners of all ages can do.
