What is an Adult Week? This is a week where adults who are losing vision, or have vision loss, come to North Dakota Vision Services/School for the Blind for a week of individualized instruction.
What is the instruction? Instruction is individualized for each person. Classes can be on the Smartphone, Technology, Orientation & Mobility, Daily Living Skills, Adjustment to Vision Loss, Braille, Recreation and Leisure, etc.
Where does a person stay? North Dakota Vision Services School for the Blind has on-site lodging. Adults will get their own bedroom.
Can a person only come once? No, an adult can come back as long as there are new skills to be learned.
What happens after the week? A report will be written about the skills that were introduced and taught. A follow-up visit can be held in your own home and more skills can be taught in the home or back at NDVS/SB.
